Our English language has changed over the centuries. It's difficult to even understand what was written as English one thousand years ago. Yet there is a connection between English of 1000 A.D. and the language we speak and write today.
In this course, we'll look at the conventions and patterns that form English, and the steps it went though to reach its present form.
